Curriculum VitaeJuliane Filser obtained both her diploma and doctoral degree in zoology / ecology at the Ludwig Maximilians University of Munich (LMU). Between 1988 and 2000 she was employed at the Institute of Soil Ecology at the GSF Research Centre for Environment and Health where she built up and directed the zoological research group. During this time she also taught invertebrate zoology and soil ecology at the university of Munich. Between 1995 and 1997 Juliane Filser was managing director of the interdisciplinary FAM Research Network on Agroecosystems, then consisting of 43 single projects. After several research stays at the DMU National Environmental Research Institute in Silkeborg, DK (1997-1999), she finished her habilitation in January 2000 at the LMU and took over the chair of General and and Theoretical Ecology at the University of Bremen, Germany in October of the same year. In 2005 she spent a sabbatical with the Ecosystem/Ecotoxicology group at Alterra Green World Research in Wageningen, NL. Since 2008 she is vice director of the UFT Centre for Environmental Research and Sustainable Technology.
